Eye Center of Northern Colorado is proud to welcome Dr. Skylar Riley to our team of dedicated eye care professionals. With her passion for comprehensive eye care and glaucoma management, Dr. Riley is committed to helping patients of all ages achieve their best possible vision.
Bringing Advanced Training Home to Colorado
Dr. Riley earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a research concentration from Gonzaga University before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry. After finishing her education in Oregon, she was excited to return to her home state of Colorado to begin caring for patients close to family and the community she loves.
Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Riley developed experience treating a diverse patient population, including children and young adults. Her professional interests include comprehensive eye care, glaucoma management, and specialty contact lenses.

Growing up in Lafayette, Colorado, Dr. Riley has always appreciated everything the state has to offer—from its breathtaking mountain views to its close-knit communities. During her optometry training, she completed a clinical internship with Eye Center of Northern Colorado and quickly fell in love with the practice’s collaborative culture and unwavering commitment to patient care.
Returning to join the team felt like the perfect opportunity to serve the community while working alongside providers who share her passion for excellence.
Life Outside the Clinic
Outside the office, Dr. Riley enjoys spending time outdoors, swimming, traveling, playing cribbage, and trying new recipes. She also loves spending time with family and friends, as well as her tuxedo cat, Bruce.
