What Is Valeda™ PBM?
Valeda™ PBM is the first and only FDA-authorized treatment designed to improve visual function in eligible patients with dry AMD, offering a new, non-invasive approach to supporting retinal health.
Valeda™ PBM uses gentle yellow, red, and near-infrared light to stimulate retinal cells through a process called photobiomodulation (PBM). By supporting the mitochondria, the part of the cell that produces energy, Valeda™ PBM helps improve retinal function and support healthier vision. The treatment is non-invasive and requires no injections, dilation, surgery, or downtime.
Understanding Your Treatment Cycle
Valeda™ PBM treatments are quick, comfortable, and completely non-invasive. Each office visit takes about 15 minutes, with less than five minutes of light therapy per eye. No eye drops, dilation, injections, or surgery are required. After your appointment, you can return to your normal daily activities, including driving, with no downtime.
1 Treatment Cycle
One Valeda™ PBM treatment cycle consists of 3 applications per week over 3-5 consecutive weeks.
Repeat
You will repeat the Valeda™ PBM treatment cycle 3 times per year.
