Specialty Eye Care

For Your Changing Eye Care Needs

Trust Your Eye Care to the Experts

Your eyes are constantly changing – even if you’ve had perfect vision your entire life. Regular eye exams by our team can identify vision conditions early so treatment can be started quickly. We have a team of specialists that are fellowship-trained in many different areas of ophthalmology so we can be your one-stop shop for all of your vision needs.

The Eye Center of Northern Colorado was the first to bring laser-assisted cataract surgery to Colorado. This technology, paired with ORA®, ensures your surgery will be customized from start to finish. Our fellowship-trained cataract specialists offer a variety of replacement lens options to correct other common eye conditions like astigmatism and presbyopia (the need for reading glasses). Our goal is to help you regain the vision of your youth – even reducing or eliminating the need for glasses after surgery.

Corneal diseases can affect any layer of the cornea and ultimately result in distorted vision. Our fellowship-trained corneal specialist offers different treatment options for corneal problems such as keratoconus, corneal dystrophies, keratitis, herpes of the eye, shingles, and pterygium.

We have a team of fellowship-trained retina specialists who offer treatment for virtually any type of retinal disease or condition including age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears/detachment, diabetic eye disease, macular hole/pucker, macula edema, flashes and floaters and posterior vitreous detachment.

We are experienced in the treatment of all stages of glaucoma, the “silent thief of sight.” Using the most advanced technology available, our team of fellowship-trained glaucoma specialists can detect and diagnose glaucoma quickly so medications, laser treatment or surgical techniques can be implemented. We are available for consultation, and second opinions as well.

Our fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist can diagnose and treat pediatric eye conditions such as misalignment of the eyes (strabismus), lazy eye (amblyopia), refractive errors, and congenital cataracts. Early detection and treatment of these conditions is vital to preserving your child’s vision. We recommend the first routine evaluation at 3½ years of age.
