Toric Lens Implants

Corneal astigmatism is caused by a curvature in the cornea which can cause distortion of light as it focuses through the eye. An analogy of this is that the surface of the cornea is curved more like a football than a baseball. Astigmatism can be corrected with astigmatism correcting lenses such as the AcrySof Toric® IOL, which can provide quality distance vision, free from distortion and glare.
