Dr. Reistad is an Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He performs aesthetic and reconstructive surgery on the eyelids, orbit, lacrimal or tear drain system and face.  He has training in eye surgery (ophthalmology) and further specialized training in ophthalmic plastic surgery (oculoplastics) where the detailed knowledge of the eye and microsurgery is coupled with plastic surgery training specific to the eyelids, orbit and face.

Dr. Reistad completed residency at Yale University in New Haven, CT.  He then undertook an additional two years of specialized training through the American Society of Ophthalmic and Facial Plastic Surgery (ASOPRS). 

After graduating summa cum laude with Honors in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, Dr. Reistad earned his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine, consistently ranked among the Top 5 medical schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report. 

Dr. Reistad grew up in rural Wisconsin. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is Board Certified, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.  Dr. Reistad has instructed other surgeons on endoscopic browlift and eyelid surgery as well as Botox and filler technique at national meetings.
